These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Citylink app and website (the "Service"), operated by [company name not yet configured]. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract under Nigerian law to use Citylink, since the Service involves a real wallet and financial transactions. You must provide a valid Nigerian phone number and a working email address.
You agree to provide accurate registration information and to keep it up to date. Registration is confirmed by a one-time code sent to your email. You may only maintain one account per person unless we agree otherwise in writing.
You are responsible for keeping your password and wallet PIN confidential and for all activity that happens under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access. We may lock your account or a specific action temporarily after repeated failed login/PIN attempts, as a security measure.
Your Citylink wallet is a stored-value balance for use inside the Service only — it is not a bank account, does not earn interest, and is not deposit-insured. Citylink is not a licensed deposit-taking or payment institution; wallet funding is processed through our third-party payment processor.
Airtime and data purchases are fulfilled through our upstream telecom aggregator. Purchase amounts must be between ₦50 and ₦50,000. Delivery of airtime/data to the recipient number is subject to the performance of our upstream provider and the receiving network; if a purchase fails after your wallet has been debited, the amount is reversed to your wallet (see section 12).
Citylink's marketplace lists independent shops. When you place an order, you choose either delivery (a Citylink driver is dispatched once the shop marks your order ready) or self-pickup (you collect directly from the shop). Payment for marketplace goods is arranged directly with the shop unless stated otherwise at checkout; Citylink facilitates the listing, ordering, and delivery dispatch, but is not the seller of record for marketplace goods, which remain the responsibility of the listing shop.
Citylink connects you with independent drivers for package deliveries and point-to-point rides. Fares are calculated automatically from distance using rates set by Citylink and shown to you before you confirm a request. Once a driver accepts, you can track their live location until the trip ends.
When a driver marks the final stop of your trip complete, the trip enters a short confirmation window (currently 15 minutes) during which you can confirm the delivery/ride was completed as expected. If you don't respond, it is automatically confirmed at the end of that window — this does not affect your ability to raise a dispute afterward if something went wrong. Rating a driver is always a separate, optional action and is never submitted automatically.
These figures are Citylink's current operating settings and may be adjusted from time to time; the version shown here always reflects what's live in the app at the time you view this page.
Delivery/ride fares, wallet-funding fees, and marketplace-related charges are calculated automatically by the Service and disclosed to you before you confirm a request or transaction. Citylink may change its fee structure going forward; changes take effect for transactions made after the change, not retroactively.
If a transaction fails after your wallet was debited (for example, an airtime purchase that the upstream provider could not fulfil, or a delivery request that could not be matched with a driver), the amount is reversed to your wallet. If you believe a transaction on your account is incorrect, unauthorized, or duplicated, you can raise a dispute against it from your transaction history; our support team reviews and resolves disputes manually.
Refunds to your Citylink wallet are issued automatically for failed transactions and eligible cancellations as described above. Where a refund to your original funding source (rather than your wallet) is warranted, it is handled manually by our support team and may take additional time depending on our payment processor's own processing times. Citylink does not currently support automatic chargebacks through card networks, since wallet funding is by bank transfer rather than card.
You may optionally submit identity details (KYC) to raise your account's trust level. This is reviewed manually by Citylink staff and is not an automated government identity check — see our Privacy Policy, section 6. Providing false identity information is a violation of these Terms.
Certain features rely on third parties Citylink does not control — our payment processor for wallet funding, our telecom aggregator for airtime/data, independent drivers, and independent marketplace shops. Citylink is not responsible for outages, errors, or losses caused solely by a third-party provider's failure, though we will make reasonable efforts to assist in resolving the impact on you (including reversing a failed transaction where appropriate).
We may investigate, suspend, or reverse activity we reasonably believe is fraudulent or abusive, including freezing a wallet, declining a transaction, or restricting an account while an investigation is ongoing. We will act proportionately and inform you where we can, consistent with our need to prevent further harm during an active investigation.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in prohibited activity, or where required by law. Where practical, we will give you notice and a chance to explain before permanent termination, except where immediate action is necessary to prevent harm or fraud.
You may close your account at any time via Privacy & Data Requests. See our Privacy Policy, section 16 for exactly what deletion does and does not remove, and why a wallet balance or an active trip must be resolved first.
The Citylink name, logo, app, and website design are the property of Citylink or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute them without permission. Content that shops or drivers upload (product listings, images) remains their responsibility; Citylink may remove content that violates these Terms.
We aim to keep the Service available and reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, upstream provider outages, or circumstances beyond our control may cause temporary unavailability of some or all features.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by Nigerian law, Citylink disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that drivers, shops, or upstream providers will always be available, error-free, or meet your expectations, though we take reports of problems seriously and act on them.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Citylink's total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount of the specific transaction giving rise to the claim. Citylink is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, except where such limitation is not permitted by applicable Nigerian law (for example, in cases of our own fraud or gross negligence).
You agree to indemnify Citylink against claims, losses, or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms, misuse of the Service, or provision of false information, to the extent permitted by law.
We may update these Terms and the Service itself over time. Material changes will be reflected in a new version number and effective date at the top of this page, and you may be asked to review and re-confirm your acceptance the next time you sign in. Continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. We encourage resolving disagreements directly with our support team first; unresolved disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Nigeria, without prejudice to any statutory right you may have to bring a claim before the National Data Protection Commission or another relevant regulator on a data-protection matter.
